The European Interdisciplinary Academy for Sciences (AEIS-Paris) announces its coming European interdisciplinary conference AEIS-2023 about "INTERDEPENDENCE, PANDEMICS and CLIMATE CHANGE".

The ambition of this conference is to examine -with the support of basic sciences- how the three notions of "interdependence/resilience/interdisciplinarity" could jointly allow us to better apprehend the post-Covid world and better prepare to face in the future potential pandemics and climate disasters.  The pandemic has revealed the fragility of our societies. In this global realization, scienctific expertise has a major role to play, and in this context, interdisciplinarity will greatly contribute to reach the objectives.

The conference will consist in four sessions and a round table:

1. Pandemic, interdependence and resilience;
2. Basic sciences, complex systems, sustainable development;
3. Climate change, decarbonated human activities;
4. Interdisciplinarity, training and innovation;
5. Round table.

Free with registration, the conference is on two days and takes place in Institut Henri Poincaré on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 November 2023.

In person participation is strongly recommended.  However, for participants who are far from Paris and wish to connect remotely, they will be able to use AEIS Zoom account.

Subscription is mandatory both for in person or remote participation. Should you wish a remote connection, we kindly request that you send a mail to eric.chenin@science-inter.com.  We will send you by mail the information for accessing our Zoom account.

Besides, all talks will be recorded by IHP staff and the videos will subsequently be deposited on AEIS Web site, as for AEIS 2021 symposium "Les signatures des états mésoscopiques de la matières".
